On the Other Side

“What the caterpillar calls the end, the rest of the world calls a butterfly.”
Lao Tzu

Go beyond the system

To better understand yourself, as well as the community and culture in which you live, you need to go beyond your boundaries. To look at oneself through the eyes of an observer. Life crises, as well as peak experiences, mystical experiences, or sensory deprivation allow us to do this. All of these experiences allow one to transcend the body, thoughts and emotions with consciousness.

This begs the question, what exists beyond the system, one, the other, the third? If there is a greater mind than the individual mind – what is the Self, what is the Greater Mind, Consciousness, the Nature of Reality?

Looking into the eyes of Death

Since it is possible to transcend the personal, it is impossible to ignore the phenomenon of dying.

How then to look into the eyes of Death? What is on the Other Side?

I consider acceptance and reconciliation with death to be the primary healing factor. There is no healing without attaching death to one’s life.

The fear of death is our indigenous fear on which all others are founded. Western culture has suppressed death, making attempts to heal people seem paradoxical and ineffective. This is an astonishing new phenomenon. Most advanced cultures have given death an overriding value, which has enormously enhanced the very quality of life. I firmly believe that to realize the meaning of death again and to overcome the fear of death when the unconscious and repressed become conscious – only then will we become free beings.

As a thanatologist, that is, a person dealing with the subject of death, I am developing an activity, the Institute of Thanatology – On the Other Side, which aims to spread thanatological knowledge, explore the phenomenon of death and help people in situations of experiencing it. Regardless of one’s views and beliefs, acceptance of the phenomenon of impermanence and its experience will affect a person’s mental condition. And sometimes you can get to a place where you

You allow yourself to die during your lifetime to understand that death does not exist.
